2006 Seclusion and Restraint Reduction Teleconference with Kevin Ann Huckshorn
Following a 2004 conference on reducing the use of seclusion and restraint, the Hogg Foundation hosted a teleconference in April 2006 on ways that agencies can reduce their use of seclusion and restraint. The teleconference also outlined six core reduction strategies and provided examples of appropriate interventions and debriefing sessions.
The teleconference was led by Kevin Ann Huckshorn, director of the National Technical Assistance Center of the National Association for State Mental Health Program Directors. As part of her job, she oversees the National Coordinating Center to Reduce and Eliminate the Use of Seclusion and Restraint.
