January 5, 2012     10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

The Seclusion and Restraint Reduction Leadership Group invites you to attend a free training session on person-centered practices.

The session will be led by Shelley Dumas, Ph.D., who has worked for more than 20 years with individuals and families in the areas of self-determination and person-centered practices. Dumas also is the director of community education at the Center for Disability Studies at The University of Texas at Austin and has years of experience working to ensure the availability of person-centered supports for her daughter.

Peer support specialists, mental health service providers, consumers, family members, policy makers, advocates and the public are invited to attend the 90-minute session. Marriage and family therapists, professional counselors and social workers are eligible to receive free continuing education units (CEUs) from the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health.

Space is limited and registration is required.
