Employment Opportunities

People who work at the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health share a passion for promoting mental health in Texas. Every employee is a valued member of the team and plays an important role in carrying out the foundation’s mission, from grant making to policy work to public education. Foundation staff are employed by The University of Texas at Austin. Student Employment Opportunities

 

The foundation periodically hires graduate and undergraduate students for a variety of assignments, such as supporting operations and assisting program development and research.

 

Graduate Assistants: The Hogg Foundation occasionally hires graduate students as research assistants. Hours are flexible and work may be done off-site, depending on the assignment. Tasks may range from researching emerging issues in mental health policy to tracking mental health-related legislation and regulations. Applicants must attend The University of Texas at Austin.
 
 
Undergraduate Work/Study: The Hogg Foundation hires undergraduate students at The University of Texas at Austin to perform clerical office duties. Check the Hire A Longhorn Job Bank for positions.


Graduate Summer Positions:
The Hogg Foundation hires law, public affairs and social work graduate students for eight-week, paid summer positions. Students are assigned projects that deepen their knowledge and understanding of mental health policy while assisting the foundation in fulfilling its mission and goals. Applicants must attend The University of Texas at Austin.    (No current openings.)


 Graduate Semester Internships for Course Credit: Internship opportunities are available to current law, public affairs and social work graduate students for course credit to deepen students' knowledge and understanding of mental health policy while assisting the foundation in fulfilling its mission and goals. Registration for course credit must be coordinated by students through their respective school's internship program.
